Q.
Why does my printer always tell me I have more than four-colors when my
job is set to four-color process?
A. Be sure to convert all spot color
to process in page layout files as well as support graphics (e.g PhotoShop
and Illustrator files).
Q.
What is the advantage of embedded rich media as opposed to attachments?
A. Attachments are notorious for carrying
viruses, so many people never open them. In fact company firewalls often
automatically block any e-mail that has an attachment. Our embedded rich
media products put audio, video, and Flash content inside the body of
the e-mail!
Q.
What would cause larger sheets of film than required to be output from
my file?
A. Always set the final size of your
document before starting to build your file - set it to the size of your
page
Q.
What is the difference between "fulfillment" and "inventory
managment systems"?
A. Fulfillment describes a broad range
of services that span everything from kit packing to managing one-time
promotional programs. Inventory managment systems are carefully planned
solutions that provide secure access to marketing communications and branded
promotional product inventories, automatic reorder points, on-line ordering
by remote locations, and detailed reporting.
Q.
How much resolution do I need to provide if I do my own scans?
A. Graphic files should be 300 res
at the size you want them to print for offset lithography, and 72 bit
(lo res) for placement in web applications.
Q.
When should I think about shrink-wrapping my job?
A. Shrink-wrapping is great if materials
are to be redistributed - say to salespeople or resellers. It also helps
protect the work if your documents are going to be stored, handled frequently,
or shipped long distances.
